FAI Garda Vetting through FAI Connect and MyComet

February 1, 2023 by David Miller Leave a Comment

We’ve created a slide deck tutorial for football clubs on how to familiarise yourself with the new process of an applicant uploading your vetting forms to the new FAI system.

There are a lot of advantages to the new approach.

Clubs will need to ensure that volunteers follow the process, as it’s now completely out of the club’s hands as to whether a volunteer follows through on the vetting upload process. This is definitely a plus from a GDPR perspective – clubs should no longer receive sensitive personal ID documents. From a practical perspective, it will take some time to ensure that volunteers get to grips with how to create a user profile and have their documents ready in an acceptable format etc

About David Miller

David used to be a litigation solicitor (in London and Dublin) and is today the CEO & co founder of Complyfile. When he's not helping organisations with their management of risk, he's either coaching children's football, or running around after one of his own five children.

~ bullet-proof safeguarding practices across the organisation;
~ increase volunteer numbers, while improving compliance and accountability; and
~ streamline the administrative efforts of recruiting volunteers ‘on the ground’.
